SMH Group, a Yorkshire & Derbyshire based professional services firm, has announced the permanent appointment of Yianni Liberopoulos as Transformation Director, strengthening the Group’s leadership capability at a pivotal stage of its growth journey.
Yianni brings more than 15 years’ experience as a senior transformation and change leader, delivering complex programmes across professional services, financial services, telecoms, government, healthcare, defence, and higher education.
Yianni has operated at executive and board level as a transformation director and programme lead, specialising in enterprise technology platforms, operating model change, M&A integration and separation, and the development of high performing delivery capabilities.
Most recently, Yianni has been leading SMH Group’s flagship merger with Mitchells, a key milestone in the Group’s wider growth ambitions. His permanent appointment reflects both the success of that integration and SMH Group’s continued commitment to building a genuinely joined up One Firm operating model.

In his role as Transformation Director, Yianni will be accountable for shaping and delivering SMH Group’s transformation and integration agenda. This includes acquisition integration, strategic platform development, operational excellence, and technology operations. His focus will be on strong delivery, clear governance with minimal overhead, and supporting the group and its board with practical, expert led insight as growth continues.
