As we were coming out of lockdown, Managing Director at Kick About Me, Paul Oxley had an idea for an APP that would help organise 5-a-side (or more) games for casual footballers. The APP which is aimed at the casual play-amongst-yourself team, not only allows organisers schedule their games but also pick teams and record results and match fees.
Post match, the organiser can invite players to vote for the Player of the Match. Players can also award KAPs (Kickabout Points) to players who perform over and above, such as Great Save and Top Defender. Your console Football game in Real Life!
From a player perspective, fitness and heatmaps can be recorded via an Apple Watch. There are also numerous Teams Statistics including goal scoring and assists charts.
Footballers moving to a new area will be able to find a new team easier with our Find a Team option. Existing Kickabout teams have the option to make themselves available to players looking for a team. All players have to do is enter their post code and how far they are willing to travel, and Kickabout will display matching teams on a map.
We are looking to kick-off our National KAPs League in early 2024. Fantasy Football for the casual small-sided footballer.
