Job Description
Our client is an independent opticians with practices all over the UK, with a head office based in Sheffield. They are currently looking to identify a high calibre Management Accountant to join their Finance Team.
Role:
The Management Accountant position is a key role within the Finance Team, with responsibilities for all aspects of management accounts.
Duties will include;
Overseeing the day to day accounting for all UK practices including invoicing and bank reconciliations
Quarterly VAT returns
Monthly payroll for all practices
Monthly supplier payment preparation
Creation of monthly management accounts packs to agreed deadlines
Experience:
Strong management accounting experience
Previous experience of working in a similar sector would be beneficial as would the understanding of VAT de minimis rules.
Forward thinking with an analytical approach
Ability to communicate effectively with Senior Management
Experience with Xero Accounting Software is essential
